A longtime Dallas firefighter, who served Oak Cliff’s Station No. 15, has died.

Marco Davila started with the Dallas Fire Department almost 20 years ago, and he died suddenly last week of an undisclosed illness, according to the Hispanic Firefighters Association.

Davila is survived by his wife, Denise, and children, Mariah and Marc. His funeral is this week at St. Cecilia Catholic Church.

Friends are raising money to help pay for the funeral and the family’s other expenses.
