This weekend: El Día de los Muertos, masquerade ball, Freddy Krueger, airshow

Celebrate El Día de los Muertos with CocoAndré Chocolatier at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center, which offers workshops from 4-6 p.m.

Maroches Bakery celebrates El Día de los Muertos with a block party from noon-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at 1227 W. Davis.

The Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce’s masquerade ball, which includes contests for best costumes, masquerade masks and cocktails, is at 8 p.m. Thursday at Jefferson Tower. Buy tickets here.

CineWilde shows “Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge” with the star of the film, Mark Patton, in attendance starting at 7 p.m. Friday at the Texas Theatre. “American Psycho” shows at 9 p.m.

The Wings Over Dallas World War II airshow is Friday-Sunday. The show includes plane rides, a kids area, a 5k run, battle reenactments, parachute demonstrations and more. Buy tickets online to save a few bucks.
