It’s not all New York Times best sellers and young-adult fiction at the North Oak Cliff Library.

Along with books, music and movies for the whole family, the library now offers neckties and bowties for borrowing. The ties were donated to the library through the Twelve Days of Oak Cliff fundraising drive in December.

The neckties can be checked out for job interviews or other formalities, and the bowties will be available for prom and homecoming.

The Dallas Public Libraries do all kinds of cool things.

A few recent examples: They announced a huge book sale, a bike book-mobile, a seed library and a project to preserve temporary memorials related to the July 7, 2016 police shootings.
