The answer is n+1, where “n” is the number of Selena murals we already have.
Oak Cliff-based artist Jeremy Biggers is painting a new mural of Tejano queen Selena on the side of the Top Ten Records building, above.
That brings the total to four Selena murals in our neighborhood. There’s one on the West Dallas studio of artist Theo Ponchaveli (we put a photograph of that one, below, on the cover of the March Oak Cliff Advocate).
Ponchaveli also painted Selena on Last Call Lounge on Centre Street. And he collaborated with Arturo Donjuan for the “Selena forever” mural at veritable Selena shrine Country Burger.
Here again are your 2018 Selena events, which start tonight at the Texas Theatre.
