The Dallas Historical Society hosts “An evening with Pedro Perez II and Alegre Ballet Folklorico” at the Hall of State at Fair Park Wednesday, May 8.
Perez was born and raised in Oak Cliff, and the dance company he founded recently celebrated its 25th anniversary.
Besides dance and choreography, Perez also is a costume designer and seamster for the company.
During the Hall of State performance, Perez will explain the dances and costumes.
