Oak Cliff Stands hosts a fundraiser for RAICES, a nonprofit that provides legal services for immigrants at the border, at Chicken Scratch on Thursday.

“We are encouraging anyone bothered by the situation at the border to attend our event where we will show anyone interested how to call and write our state and local reps,” says organizer Richelle Tilghman.

They’ll have letter-writing stations with supplies, including stamps, for kids as well.

The event is from 6:30-8:30 p.m. (Thursday also is $4 pint night at adjacent bar The Foundry after 8 p.m.)

All day Thursday, 10 percent of purchases at Chicken Scratch will go to RAICES if you mention the event.
