After years of warning this would happen and dire internet fundraisers, Lucky Dog Books is really doing it.
The used bookstore on Jefferson Boulevard is expected to close for good on Dec. 22.
The shop, which originated in Lakewood in 1974, opened a store on West Davis in about 2014. The store moved to Jefferson at Tyler in 2015, and since then, the owner has announced that it was on the brink of closing about once a year.
All books in the store cost $3 each, and $2 each if you buy 10 or more.
The Lucky Dog Books location on Garland Road will remain in business.
