Salaryman, the Bishop Arts ramen shop that opened last year, is bringing together local businesses in support of out-of-work service-industry employees.
Chef Justin Holt says they started with a $500 donation from a loyal customer, and they provide daily meals to workers who have been laid off or furloughed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
They’re also working with restaurants Slow Bone, Ka Tip, Tribal All Day Café, Azucar and Taco Y Vino to provide the same. They started Food From Friends, a coalition that’s accepting donations for the mission.
Besides that, Salaryman launched a new menu for takeout.
