There are two opportunities this month to tour the historic Oak Cliff Assembly of God Church on Morrell Avenue, known as the Oak Cliff Assembly since a group of local investors purchased it.
The first is the Oak Cliff Assembly art walk, from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, July 9.
Local artists have turned some of the church’s pews into unique works of art, which will be for sale, as well as Four Corners beer and Rev’s Grilled Cheese. All proceeds go toward restoration of the sanctuary, and the event is free to attend.
Preservation Dallas also offers a tour of the property at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 19. The tour is free for Preservation Dallas members and $20 otherwise.
