Two young men have been arrested and one remains at large in the late-September shooting death of 14-year-old Manuel Sterling Edwards, who was found shot and left in a South Dallas field a few blocks from his family home.

Police arrested Treveion Harris, 22, and Alonzo Simpson, 17, and charged them with Capital Murder, according to a Dallas Police Department press release. Tipsters reportedly said the accused are gang members who “terrorize” the neighborhood, brandishing firearms.

Now police say they need to locate their third suspect, Gregory Ellison, 19.

There is some evidence that Ellison was once a Madison High student. We are still waiting for police to identify a photo of Ellison. Some of the teens featured on this mentioned DPD Beat post have already been questioned and released. We do not want to risk sharing an image of the wrong person.

Dallas homicide detective Patty Belew said in September, “there’s a ton of people who know what happened to this young man.”

Seemingly she was correct. According to local channel Fox 4 News, leads came in following a segment by their reporter Shaun Rabb.

“Dallas police say anonymous tips came in from the public identifying the suspects, claiming they are known gang members and terrorize the neighborhood with firearms,” according to Fox 4 staff.

Anyone with information about Ellison’s whereabouts should call Det. Belew at 214.422.9275.
