The Bishop Arts skatepark pop-up will be held Saturday from noon until 6 p.m.

The event will take place at Camp Bishop located at 111 N. Bishop Ave. and Oak Cliff Skatepark shirts will be on sale with all proceeds going to the future Oak Cliff park.

Skateboarding and quad skating demonstrations will take place at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively. Bikes will not be allowed on the ramp for the event for safety purposes.

Eno’s Pizza will be selling food and drinks at the event.

Bishop Arts will be the site of a skate park pop-up coming to Oak Cliff in April.

The demonstration, which will be held on April 15, will be an opportunity for skate boarders to meet members of the skateboarding community, take advantage of skateboarding infrastructure in our neighborhood and show off their skills.

While the exact location and times of the pop-up have not yet been released, the event was developed in part by Skate Parks for Dallas.

Skate Parks for Dallas has been involved in the effort to bring a full sized skate park to Oak Cliff. Renderings of the future park were released earlier this month.

The Advocate will release more information about the demonstration as it becomes available.
