Founded by Chad and Nellie Montgomery in 2011, the festival showcases a massive variety of breweries from across Texas, accompanied by live music, food trucks and more.

Many of the featured breweries are traveling from all over Texas for the festival, with some right from our neighborhood. Oak Cliff is home to two featured breweries, Bishop Cider and Manhattan Project Beer Company.

Bishop Cider combines fruity flavors with bubbly brew in a colorful presentation that’s ripe for summer. Their flavors include Pineapple Paradise and Texas Más-Mosa. Bishop Cider has also expanded their brand into Cidercade, a separate space complete with vintage arcade games drinks galore. There is a Cidercade location in in Dallas as well as three others in Austin, Houston and Fort Worth.

Manhattan Project Beer Company is more than just a taproom. The sleek interior also includes an extensive food menu to be enjoyed with freshly brewed IPA and lager. Their favorites include Hazy IPA and the German-style Hefeweizen.

The two Oak Cliff spots are listed as featured breweries for the festival.

Also in Dallas, Lake Highlands’ Civil Pour is set to be heavily featured at the event. The coffee shop and beer parlor is owned by the Montgomerys and remains a neighborhood staple. In Lakewood, upstart seasoning brand Behrnes’ Pepper Salts is listed as a non-brewery sponsor.
