On June 8, Tepetán, a neighborhood business that makes cold press cocktail mixers, will hit the shelves of Central Market for the companies first state-wide distribution.

Tepetán was started by Stevens Park residents Elsa and Chris DeGroot during the early days of the pandemic, when they found themselves in need of a good margarita.

The brand has grown from the DeGroot’s first test kitchen in Oak Cliff to being sold in over 50 retail spots across DFW. The partnership with Central Market will bring the 12 oz. bottles to every location across the state.

“(Central Market’s) strong following in the foodie community and presence across Texas makes them the perfect partner to bring our delicious cold press cocktail mixers to even more places throughout the state of Texas for people to enjoy,” Elsa DeGroot said in a statement Friday.

Elsa DeGroot said the cold presses, which are made by using cold water to preserve natural juice flavors as opposed to preservatives, offer a “better for you” option for customers.

Four Tepetán flavors will be sold, including The Classic (Lime Sour), Spa Day (Cucumber Mint), Don Paco (Orange Pineapple) and Hot Tin Roof (Pineapple Jalapeño).

All that is missing is the tequila.
