Founders Jane Parsons and Lillian Flint hope to bring a new healing, meditative space where people can express themselves through the art of clay.

According to their website, it is an “art sanctuary full of life, creativity and unlimited possibilities where your passion for clay can grow.”

The facility has 12 throwing wheels, 2 large handbuilding tables, a glazing room, 2 kilns, and a gallery.

“With the perfect ambiance, it invites you to ground yourself spiritually and authentically on your ceramic journey,” Parsons and Flint said.

Parsons found her passion for ceramics and porcelain after running a soap company in Oak Cliff for four years. She felt a proper home for ceramicists was missing in Dallas and wanted to bring that to life.

Graduating from the University of North Texas with a degree in ceramics, Flint’s been practicing the art for almost a decade, primarily working with terracotta.

The place is perfect for all– beginners and experts alike, and date night offers are perfect for those looking to get hitched.

Date night sign-ups are $100, and sessions last 2 hours. They also advertise as BYOB.

“During the class you will select your glaze from the options we have in house. A specialist from Pottery for the People will apply the glaze for you after it dries properly and is bisque fired,” per the website.

There are other sessions available based on four-week classes, where each week is a step in the ceramic process, concluding in 6 finished pieces.

“The Oak Cliff community will finally have a place to express themselves through the art of clay in a peaceful and meditative environment,” Parsons said.
