In what is sure to be a tight game, there will be no home field advantage. The Golden Bears vs. Panthers will face-off at SMU’s Gerald J. Ford Stadium at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

South Oak Cliff High School is starting out their football season looking for a three-peat after winning the 5A Div. II state championship in 2021 and 2022.

And, the Golden Bears will be looking to prove themselves after falling to the Duncanville Panthers 23-10 in last seasons match, and losing to the Panthers in every matchup of the last four years.

Duncanville is rolling off an undefeated season in 2022, and claims the No. 1 recruits in the state in the Class of 2024, 2025 and 2026, according to the Dallas Morning News.
