Tiny Victories bartender Jake Crews is one of twenty bartenders left in the competition for the Bar Boss title. Crews currently ranks second, and voting for the top 15 will go through Thursday Dec. 21.

One bartender will be selected through public vote as the final winner, and will be awarded $10,000 and a feature on the cover of Bartender Magazine as the 2023 Bar Boss. Crews said he will use the money to help pay for “any debt that (he has) left” and an “awesome wedding for (him) and (his) fiancée.”

The competition aims to find a bartender with “the biggest personality, most loyal customer base, and of course — who makes the best drink.”

Each member of the public is able to vote once for free for their bartender of choice, and additional votes can be bought in the amounts of 10 to 250. Money raised from the votes will be donated to the Kind Campaign in their commitment to bring awareness and healing to the negative effects of bullying.

“Being a bartender gives a person an opportunity to meet lots of new faces and make amazing new connections,” Crews wrote in his Bar Boss profile. “Through meeting so many people a day, lots of different doors can open up and great lifelong connections can be made too.”
