As summer heats up and temperatures rise, the Texas Theatre is offering a free way to beat the heat this weekend.
The historic independent Dallas theatre is partnering with Pluto TV as part of the streaming services “Summer of Cinema” campaign. Pluto TV is offering free screenings all summer long as a part of the campaign in 14 major U.S. cities.
As part of the free movie weekend, the Texas Theater will be playing several free showings and films on June 28 and 29. The movies being shown and links to showtimes are below:
- “Robot Dreams”
- “The Truman Show,” With Intro from Matt Zoller Seitz
- Class of 99 Presents “American Movie” on 35mm
- “The Parallax View,” with Intro from Matt Zoller Seitz
- “I Used to be Funny”
The free tickets will be available at the door, first come, first serve.
