The West Dallas Foundation, an all-volunteer nonprofit that formed three years ago to organize festivities surrounding the opening of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, is closing.
But not before it gives away all of its cash.
The foundation has $28,000, which it will give away in grants of $1,000-$5,000 each to nonprofits for projects or programs planned for the coming year in West Dallas.
Applicants must provide a copy of their IRS nonprofit determination letter and fill out a two-page application, which can be found at westdallasfoundation.org.
Applications must be received by 5 p.m., Friday, March 18. The grants will be distributed no later than May 1.
