The Oak Cliff Art Walk will return for its third year at a new location on Oct. 4.
Submissions are now being accepted through August 29 here. The Art Walk is looking for canvas, paper drawing, photography, sculpture, wood, glass, ceramic, textiles, fabric, interactive art and mixed media. Vendors are also currently being accepted. Vendor types include but are not limited to vintage and streetwear boutiques, handmade jewelry and accessories, skincare and beauty, zines, prints and stickers, creative crafts and home goods.
This community-driven event gives local artists the chance to showcase their work in a nontraditional space—completely free of gallery costs or fees. If their work sells, they keep 100% of the profit.
The OC Art Walk is traditionally held at The Oak Cliff Assembly, but with recent updates, they’ve decided to move this year’s event to a new location to allow for more space and a fresh experience. The Art Walk will be held at East Dock as they take over a historic 1915 warehouse.
Originally built in 1915 as an ice house, East Dock later served as an airplane manufacturing facility and a book factory. After sitting vacant for over a decade, it’s now being revitalized into a home for local businesses and organizations.
On Oct. 4, the property will be transformed into a vibrant art gallery and gathering space for local creatives, organizations, and vendors.
