News roundup: Ice house for sale, ‘forensic trace,’ SOC vs. HP

The 100-year-old Southland Ice House building, formerly the Ice House Cultural Center on Page at Polk, is for sale.

We still aren’t sure what a “forensic trace” is, but it doesn’t look good that the Dallas Police and Fire Pension System got caught paying for one on City Councilman Scott Griggs.

In light of the recent walkout protesting building conditions at South Oak Cliff High School Texas Monthly attempted to compare the Dallas Independent School District with the Highland Park School District.
