The streetcar’s current hours, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday, have been among the chief complaints from Oak Cliff neighbors since it opened in April 2015. Starting in February, the cars will run every 30 minutes from 9:30 a.m.-midnight, according to the Dallas Morning News.

An extension of the streetcar line from Methodist Dallas Medical Center to the Bishop Arts District is expected to open by the end of the year. Once it does, the cars will run every 20 minutes, City Councilman Scott Griggs told the newspaper.

DART also is planning a Bishop Arts Shuttle that would run a loop from the planned streetcar stop through Bishop Arts to Polk and return up Jefferson and back to the stop at Seventh and Zang.

DART is expected to consider changes to the route for D Link, the temporary free shuttle that serves Oak Cliff and Downtown, next month.
