A new book from highlights some of the most successful alumni of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.
Not surprising, there are quite a few Oak Cliffers in the book, from photographer and 1983 Booker T. grad Vonda K. Hussey Klimaszewski and writer Susan K. Elliott Hamm.
The coffee table book includes original photos and interviews with graduates including Erykah Badu, Edie Brickell, guitarist Kenny Withrow, Chris Arnold of Eyecon Murals, costume designer Jacob Climer, graphic designer Nic Climer, artist Elisa Jimenez, saxophonist Keith Loftis, singer Terry D. Loftis and singer-songwriter Sandra St. Victor.
Klimaszewski spent four years photographing Booker T. alumni all over the world.
The book costs $50.
