Make a plan to avoid commuting on Sylvan Avenue for the next year and a half.

Construction on Sylvan from Fort Worth Avenue to Singleton begins Tuesday, Aug. 1.

The roadway will be open, but there will be lane closures. When the project is complete, in 2019, Sylvan will have four lanes for cars and bike lanes on both sides, plus aesthetic improvements such as bricked crosswalks.
