Let a literary hero read your kids a bedtime story.
The Bishop Arts Theatre Center launched “Storytime at Bedtime,” a series of YouTube videos wherein members of the theater’s board of trustees, former summer camp students and parents read children’s books.
The idea came from Emma Rodgers, who opened Black Images book store in Wynnewood Village from 1977-2007.
If you want to participate in Storytime at Bedtime, send your submission in an email to admin@bishopartstheatre.org.
Here is Rodgers reading “I Love My Hair” by Natasha Tarpley.
And here she is reading “Too Much Talk: A West African Folk Tale,” by Angela Shelf Medearis.
Find all of the videos — there are 11 so far — on the theater’s YouTube page.
