The Southern Gateway Foundation released a video last week with an update on the Oak Cliff deck park across Interstate 35.
The deck is currently under construction, and the 2.8-acre first phase of the park is estimated to cost $82 million. About $47 million of that is coming from taxpayer sources, and the foundation is raising an additional $35 million.
The park could open as soon as summer 2023.
A master plan for the park was released last year, reporting that a 5-acre second phase of the park will cost about $90 million to build.
