Good morning, y’all!
A new school year is off and running and the first few weeks seem to have gone phenomenally! You’ll find this month’s summary below:
Dallas ISD District 7 Monthly Updates
- Dallas ISD earns an 86 “B” rating: We are proud to share that Dallas ISD made significant gains, earning an 86 “B” on the state accountability rating. We certainly have a lot more work to do, but I am incredibly proud of all the students and staff who made this possible!
- Dallas ISD safety & security plan presented to trustees: Dallas ISD takes the safety and security of every student seriously, and earlier this month, Dr. Elizalde and the administration presented the safety and security measures for Dallas ISD. You can find a summary of the plan linked here.
- Strong teacher retention leads to low vacancies; central staff filling in the rest: Dallas ISD showed strong retention rates on teachers, resulting in less than 1% vacancies at the start of school. To ensure that no student does not have a teacher, certified central staff have been deployed to teach in these classrooms and will continue to do so throughout the semester.
