The spaces will include a pottery shop called Vessles, a retail shop for infants, a wine shop and a candy store, Street said.

According to a certificate of occupancy application that is pending, the wine store may operate under the name Ampelos Wines. The business does not appear to have other locations.

The candy store will be the latest location of Hey Sugar Candy Store, according to the store’s website. The store has six other locations in Texas and one in Oklahoma.

The only store that has signage currently posted is Vessels, which will operate as a sister store to Oasis and is also owned by Street. Oasis is located at 416 W. Eighth Street, across from Vessles.

Vessles will sell pottery and other ceramics to complement the plants sold at Oasis. This will be the second launch of Vessles, which opened briefly in 2022.

A majority of the pottery will be made by local ceramicist Stephen Salter.

“One year ago I moved back to Dallas and set my sights on Bishop Arts and now it has become a reality,” Salter said in an Instagram post.

Street said Salter will have a studio in Vessles and customers will be able to watch him work live. Other local artists will also have their work sold in the shop, Street said.
