One year later, the band still can’t be tied down. They released a new EP, PARADISO, that experiments with heavy synths and a poppier style for the band.

Their 2019 self-titled EP and subsequent singles presented an indie rock sound with a dose of Latin fusion to go with it. PARADISO has elements of that, the lead single “Serotonin” in particular is layered with droning electric guitar chords and Rivera’s signature cadence. “Lujuria” follows, a catchy new wave track with a surprise piano epilogue. The standout here is “S2Luv”, auditioning to be Oak Cliff’s summer anthem.

PARADISO still sounds like Los Beckleys, even if Los Beckleys don’t have a sound.
