Good news everyone, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this morning. Spring is on the way, according to the prophesying woodchuck, which means we will hopefully avoid suffering another 90-hour freeze this calendar year.

And if that news leaves you in the mood to celebrate, what better way is there than watching the 1993 classic Groundhog Day?

Not only does the film star the iconic Bill Murray, but Oak Cliff native Stephen Tobolowsky plays one of the more punchable character of the last half-century.

Back in 2013, we had a few questions for the Kiest Boulevard-born and raised actor, and it’s worth the read if you haven’t checked it out recently. Here’s a quick snippet:

I went to Kimball High School, and then I branched out of Oak Cliff and went to SMU, and I found out people actually drink beer in the world. When I was in high school, it was 23 miles to where you could buy beer. So you had to consider if it was worth it to drive 50 miles for a six-pack.

Happy Groundhog Day, everyone. Here’s to spring.
