Siebert works in the SMU library. The board at Apprentice is a collection of some of the finest literature minds in Dallas, including her partner, Protean Magazine publisher Steven Monacelli. Hypertext Magazine managing editor Chelsea Wells and contributing editor Bryan Lindsey are also on the board, along with journalists Leah Waters and Brianna Patt. Filling out the eight-member team is Pegasus Media Project executive director Niloo Jalilvand and Peaberry Coffee owner Elijah Salazar.

“Apprentice empowers aspiring writers in Dallas, Texas, by bridging the gap between emerging talent and established authors,” their mission statement says. “Rooted in the vibrant community of Oak Cliff, we provide mentorship opportunities and resources to nurture creativity, foster literary growth, and cultivate a thriving literary arts scene. Through collaboration, education, and support, we enrich lives, ignite passion for storytelling, and champion the voices of tomorrow’s literary leaders. As a hub for the literary community in Dallas, Apprentice provides affordable coworking, free education programs, and inclusive events.”

Coworkers hoping to use the space will be accepted on an application basis through their website. Apprentice says they are targeting local writers and digital artists for their program. They plan to host events in the space, including book clubs, workshops, writer’s talks, and more.

Apprentice Creative Space opens on April 1, located at 919 Morrell Ave, Set 110.
