Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy has clinched their third boy’s basketball state championship in a row.
The eagles won Saturday’s 4A State Championship game against Silsbee High School 80-66, securing the elusive three-peat.
“Winning one is hard. Winning two is very hard. Winning three is almost impossible, and we just did the impossible,” head coach Brandon Thomas told media after the game.
A stunning performance by guard Isaac Williams headlined the game. Williams shot 14-for-14 for 32 points, breaking the 38-year-old shooting percentage record. Williams was named MVP after the win.
Tomas described Williams’ game as “perfect.”

Faith Family Academy is now the sixth high school to ever achieve three basketball championships in a row. They have been to every 4A state championship since 2019, which they won. The 2020 championship was cancelled due to COVID-19, and the team lost the 2021 championship.
Recent UIL redistricting has determined this will be Faith Family’s final season in the 4A conference. Despite being under the enrollment numbers for the 5A conference, the Eagles will join the district next season and face Dallas ISD schools, including Oak Cliff’s Adamson, Molina, South Oak Cliff and Sunset high schools.
“Everybody on our team this year was in our program last year,” Thomas said. “We’ve got guys on our bench right now who you don’t know their names, but you will.”
