Things have been pretty quiet at the old Minyard location at Fort Worth Avenue and Hampton since we confirmed that Big Lots would open there. The company just took possession of the property a few weeks, says Big Lots spokeswoman Toni Fink, with plans to open in early May.
“You should start to see some activity over there in the coming weeks,” Fink says.
This would be Big Lots’ second store in Oak Cliff. There’s another location farther south on West Red Bird Lane.
